Private Glass Parties
A new offering is the Private Glass Party. Bring 3 of your friends and your creative spirit for 3 hours of artistic fun. Glass experience is not necessary. At the end of the session, you will have a finished piece of stained glass to take home. Project offerings include suncatchers, picture frames, candle holders, and holiday ornaments. Minimum age is 15 years old. All tools and materials are supplied. Date and project will be mutually agreed upon.
Call us at 847.356.5719 to discuss times, dates, and projects.
New Toys
Added to our inventory of tools is the Morton Portable Glass Shop. It's a great tool to cut geometric shapes that are consistent in size and shape. Come in and see what we are doing.
Our other new toy is the CAD like software designed specifically
for stained glass -- Glass Eye 2000. You can draw or scan your images
into the software, scale, resize, color, and print out your pattern.
The best part is the glass usage estimate and the numbering of pattern
pieces. The other feature it offers is a Lamp Wizard. You enter
the top and bottom diameter along with the height. The software
then determines your pattern size pieces. It's really amazing. Stop
by and see how it works, or order it online by clicking here!
Welcome
We are a stained glass design and repair studio, school,
and art gallery. When viewing our portfolio, you can see that we
are varied in our design and concepts. All of our work is original
in design and created in our studio, as your can see from our unique
personalized offering of family and wedding gifts.
We're located in the village of Millburn of Old Mill
Creek, at the creek's bend on the edge of a beautiful Lake County
forest preserve.
The golden age of stained glass began around the end
of the nineteenth century. Fine art pieces appeared in churches,
institutions, and homes of the privileged. The durability of the
medium and the combinations of light change the character of a creation
because of the many moods of nature.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to share our passion for stained glass
and inspire others to be creative and inventive with this medium.
We are endeavoring to create a marketplace for truly fine and unusual
works in glass.
